FRIDAY, AUGUST 29: Belgian Parti Gyle Release!

FRIDAY, AUGUST 29: Belgian Parti Gyle Release!

A double beer release brewed in the Trappist Monk tradition of Parti-Gyle brewing. This is an extremely old technique that produces 2 (or more) different beers out of 1 mash. The first, larger beer was intended to be sold and not consumed by the monks that made it. The monks would drink the second smaller beer for its nutritional value. The low ABV meant it would not interfere with their monastic duties.
